The one-piece formed headlining trim finish panel consists of molded substrate covered with a foam backed cloth. Install the following components in order to install the headlining trim finish panel:

    • The related hardware
    • The interior moldings

The headlining trim finish panel is a one-piece construction. Service the panel as a complete assembly.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 280686  Size: SH
  1. Remove the assist strap.
  2. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  3. Remove the coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  4. Remove the windshield upper garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the center pillar upper trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  6. Remove the quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Remove the finish lace from the sunroof opening trim, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement in Roof.
  8. Remove the retainers from the headlining trim finish panel (3).
  9. Remove the headlining trim finish panel (1).
  10. Disconnect the wire harness from the headlining trim finish panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 280686  Size: SH
  1. Use adhesive tape in order to connect the wire harness to the headlining trim finish panel.
  2. Important: Use care when loading the headlining into the vehicle. Flexing may cause damage to the headlining.

  3. Install the headlining trim finish panel (1).
  4. Install the retainers to the headlining trim finish panel(3).
  5. Install the finish lace to the sunroof opening trim, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement .
  6. Install the quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. Install the center pillar upper trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  8. Install the windshield upper garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
  9. Install the coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  10. Install the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  11. Install the assist strap.
