1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
2. Disconnect the folding top switch.
3. Connect the fused jumper between the folding top switch connector terminal B CKT 1240 and the folding top switch connector terminal A CKT 123.

Does the folding top operate?

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 3

Replace the folding top switch. Refer to Convertible Top Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

1. Disconnect the folding top relay.
2. Connect the test lamp between the folding top relay connector terminal F CKT 123 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the folding top relay. Refer to Folding Top Relay.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Use the J 39200 in order to measure the resistance in CKT 123 between the folding top switch connector terminal A and the folding top relay connector terminal F.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair the open circuit condition in CKT 123 between the folding top switch connector terminal A and the folding top relay connector terminal F. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

Use the J 39200 in order to measure the resistance in CKT 123 between the folding top switch connector terminal A and ground.

Does the resistance measured equal the specified value?

Infinite

System OK

Go to Step 8

Repair the short to ground condition in CKT 123 between the folding top switch connector terminal A and the folding top relay connector terminal F. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
