Inspect the topstack components for damage before performing any adjustments. Repair the components as necessary. Proceed with the adjustment procedures.
Inspect the following areas in order to correct misalignment if necessary.
• | The power folding top to the header |
• | The side rail to the door and the quarter window |
• | The header latch striker to the windshield header |
• | The power folding top forward and rearward positions. |
Verify the proper location of the following components before and/or in conjunction with adjustments to the power folding top.
• | The door |
• | The door windows |
• | The rear quarter windows |
Proper alignment of the power folding top components is necessary in order to ensure proper operation of the topstack.
Perform the following adjustment procedure if the header latch striker does not properly engage with the header latch receiver:
• | The striker moves during latching. |
• | The nuts do not move when the power folding top is raised in order to access the nuts. |
• | Do not tighten the nuts at this time. |
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts (3) to 11 N·m (8 lb ft).
Perform the following adjustment procedure if the No. 1 bow front edge is not flush with the windshield header:
Do not torque the nuts.

Tighten the nuts (3) to 11 N·m (8 lb ft).
Ensure that the front edge of the No. 1 bow is flush with the windshield header surface.
Perform the following adjustment procedure if the topstack side rails are misaligned and/or not parallel to the upper edge of the door and the quarter window glass:
• | Turn the screw in to increase side rail assembly crown. |
• | Turn the screw out to decrease the side rail assembly crown. |
Observe the header latch striker-to-receiver contact. The striker (2) should enter the receiver enough in order to allow receiver pin engagement without additional help to pull the power folding top down.

10.1. | Raise the upstop (6) and additional ¼-½ turn. |
10.2. | Tighten the jam nut (5) while holding the upstop (6) in position. |
Tighten
Tighten the jam nut (5) to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
