Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Chevrolet

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 284868  Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper storage net retainers (3) inside the compartment in order to access the fascia screws.

  2. Object Number: 284862  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws (3) from the inside of the rear compartment.
  4. Remove the screws (2) from the rear fascia. The screws are located in the rear wheel housing.

  5. Object Number: 284866  Size: SH
  6. Remove the push-pin retainers (2) from the lower fascia (1).

  7. Object Number: 284860  Size: MH
  8. Remove the rear fascia (1) from the impact bar.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 284860  Size: MH
  1. Install the rear fascia (1) to the impact bar.

  2. Object Number: 284866  Size: SH
  3. Install the push-pin retainers (2) to the lower fascia (1).

  4. Object Number: 284862  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screws (2) to the rear fascia. The screws are located in the rear wheel housing.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the screws (3) to the rear compartment.

  9. Install the upper storage net retainers (3) to the inside rear compartment.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper storage net retainers (3) inside the rear compartment in order to access the fascia screws.

  2. Object Number: 284865  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws (4) from the inside of the rear compartment.
  4. Remove the screws (3) from the rear fascia. The screws are located in the rear wheel housing.

  5. Object Number: 284866  Size: SH
  6. Remove the push-pin retainers (2) from the lower fascia (1).

  7. Object Number: 284861  Size: MH
  8. Remove the rear fascia (3) from the impact bar (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear fascia (3) to the impact bar (1).

  2. Object Number: 284866  Size: SH
  3. Install the push-pin retainers (2) to the lower fascia (1).

  4. Object Number: 284865  Size: SH
