Problem

Action

A rattle/buzz noise coming from beneath the back seat area caused by 1 of the following:

    • The rearward most heat shield is not fastened properly. This allows up and down movement of the shield.
    • The park brake cable can be in contact with the heat shield.
    • Fasten the heat shield properly.
    • Adjust the cable in order to remove the contact.

A harsh rattle coming from the front end area. It can also sound like a strut or a thump.

Inspect the front suspension and steering components. Adjust, repair or replace as necessary.

A creaking/popping noise rearward in the vehicle underbody caused by 1 of the following causes:

    • The rear stabilizer bar bushings did not have enough lubricant applied to the bar contact surface.
    • The bushing clamp can be moving in its locating hole.

Apply more lubricant inside of the bushing as well as the clamp.

A hissing noise coming from the trunk compartment/rear strut area caused by the rubber strut cap not being fully seated. This allows strut noise to penetrate the passenger compartment area.

Re-fit the rubber strut cap properly.
