Action

A creaking noise coming from the forward edge of the front door while opening or shutting caused by a loose check link or squeaky hinge.

Retorque the check link or the oil hinge.

A rattling noise coming from the center or inside of the door while opening caused by 1 of the following:

    • The pull handle reinforcement bracket is loose to the door trim.
    • The tree fasteners are not properly engaged into the holes on the door.

Secure the pull handle reinforcement properly and/or replace the tree fasteners.

An itch noise coming from the door panel area caused by the dynamic side impact (DSI) foam is not glued down at the pin pass through in order to allow the pin to itch.

Glue the DSI foam in order to eliminate movement.

A buzz coming from the inner rear door while opening the doors caused by the window up/down cable contacts the rail as the doors are opened.

Apply anti-itch tape or a very hard foam patch in order to insulate the cable from the rail.

A click coming from the inner door panel while cycling the glass caused by the bolt which secures the glass to the glass guide is loose or missing.

Tighten or replace the bolt.

A rattling noise coming from the door handle area of the front doors while the door is being opened caused by 1 of the following:

    • The foam insulation patch is mounted too high.
    • A looseness in the rods is allowing the levers to move freely causing the lock lever to contact the I/S handle lever.

Reposition the foam or add a thicker piece of foam.

A ringing noise coming from the striker area when the door is opened caused by the striker reinforcement plate fingers act as tuning forks. The reinforcement plate is located on the back side of the striker behind the door sill. On the Coupe only, access is through the hole in the quarter inner. On the Sedan only, access is through the C-pillar.

Verify correct torque of the door striker. Adjust as necessary.
