Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

1. Establish communication with each module connected to the serial data link.
2. Check for DTCs for each module.

Are any DTCs present?

Go to Control Module References for the appropriate Diagnostic System Check

Go to Step 3

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. With a scan tool, command the instrument cluster indicators ON.

Does the service vehicle soon indicator turn ON and OFF when commanded?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 4

Replace the instrument cluster (IPC). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 5

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
