Visually inspect the 20 Amp EXT LP fuse.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 8

With switch turned off test terminal D of the headlamp switch for continuity to ground.

Is ground present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair short to ground in the Fuse Output-Battery Circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Test the Park Lamp Feed Circuit for Continuity to ground.

Is ground present?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair short to ground in the Park Lamp Feed Circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is The repair complete?

System OK

Replace the blown fuse.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Disconnect the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly connector.
  2. Connect the test lamp between terminal D of the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly harness connector C1 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 9

Connect the test lamp between terminal D and terminal F of the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly harness connector.

Do the park, marker and tail lamps light?

Go to Step 11

Go to Step 12

Repair the open in the Fuse Output-Battery Circuit between the fuse block and the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly harness connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the turn/hazard - headlamp switch assembly.
