Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  3. Test for an open or high resistance in the instrument panel dimming lamps circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 3

Test for an open or short to ground in the parklamp input circuit to the BCM (CKT 9). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Go to Step 4

Test for an open in the ground circuit to the instrument cluster (CKT150). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK

Go to Step 5

  1. Inspect the instrument cluster illumination lamps and the connections to the instrument cluster.
  2. If the lamps and connections are OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
