1. Disconnect the rearview mirror reading lamps connector.
2. Test for ground at terminal A of the connector. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is ground present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

Test for an open in CKT 1732 between the rearview mirror reading lamps assembly terminal C and the dome lamp assembly terminal B (coupe) or splice 222 (convertible). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was a condition found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 5

Test for an open in CKT 156 between the rearview mirror reading lamps assembly terminal B and the dome lamp assembly terminal A (coupe) or splice XXX (convertible). Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was a condition found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 6

Replace the rearview mirror reading lamps assembly.

Is the repair complete?

System OK
