Was A Diagnostic System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Disconnect the inoperative back-up lamp connector.
3. Place the transaxle in the REVERSE position.
4. Connect the test lamp between terminal A of the back-up lamp harness connector and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Connect the test lamp between terminal A and terminal B of the inoperative back-up lamp harness connector.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in Back up Lamp feed Circuit between splice S400 and the inoperative back-up lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the inoperative back-up lamp or connector.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Repair the open in the Ground Circuit between the inoperative back-up lamp and ground G150. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

System OK
