Temperature Control Cable Replacement Chevrolet

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 603652  Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Disconnect the temperature control cable from the temperature valve lever.
  3. Remove the cable clip retaining screw.

  4. Object Number: 603659  Size: SH
  5. Remove the control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .
  6. Remove the cable cover.
  7. Remove the cable clip from the control assembly.
  8. Remove the cable.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 603659  Size: SH
  1. Install the cable to the control assembly.
  2. Lock the cable clip to the control assembly.
  3. Install the cable cover.

  4. Object Number: 603652  Size: SH
  5. Install the cable to the temperature valve lever.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the cable clip and screw to the HVAC module.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement
  10. Install the instrument panel (IP) trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Disconnect the temperature control cable from the temperature valve lever.
  3. Remove the cable clip retaining screw.

  5. Remove the control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .
  6. Remove the cable cover.
  7. Remove the cable clip from the control assembly.
  8. Remove the cable.

  1. Install the cable to the control assembly.
  2. Lock the cable clip to the control assembly.
  3. Install the cable cover.

  4. Object Number: 603652  Size: SH
  5. Install the cable to the temperature valve lever.
