Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the oil pan, the filter, and the seal. Refer to Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 104217 Size: SH
  3. Remove the transmission fluid level indicator stop bracket.

    4. Object Number: 104220 Size: SH
  4. Remove the spring shaft retainer.

    5. Object Number: 104221 Size: SH
  5. Remove the parking pawl actuator bracket.
  6. Remove the clip.

    7. Object Number: 104225 Size: SH
  7. Remove the manual shift shaft pin.
  8. Remove the manual valve with the retainer rod.
  9. Remove the manual valve pin.
  10. Remove the parking pawl spring.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 104225 Size: SH
  1. Install the parking pawl spring.

    2. Object Number: 104224 Size: SH
  2. Install the manual valve pin.
  3. Install the manual valve with the retainer rod.
  4. Install the manual shift shaft pin.

    5. Object Number: 104221 Size: SH
  5. Install the clip.
  6. Install the parking pawl actuator bracket.

    7. Object Number: 104220 Size: SH
  7. Install the spring shaft retainer.

    8. Object Number: 104217 Size: SH
  8. Install the transmission fluid level indicator stop bracket.
  9. Install the oil pan, the filter, and the seal.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Adjust the transmission oil level.
  12. Inspect the shift linkage.
