WINDSHIELD WIPER DIAGNOSIS - PULSE WIPERS SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1984 THROUGH 1987 FIRENZA MODELS -----------------

Starting in 1994, the Firenza wiper motor pulse module was eliminated. The pulse function electronics were moved onto a printed circuit board that is installed on the wiper motor assembly. The on-car diagnosis within the wiper motor service manual sections contain references to a separate pulse module which is incorrect. The charts that are affected are Condition No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. When performing diagnosis on a pulse wiper system, use the diagnosis provided in the Oldsmobile Electrical Troubleshooting Manual (1984- 1985) or service manual section 8A (1986-1987).
