At least 50 consecutive signals were received by the BCM from a remote control door lock transmitter that was programmed to the BCM. All of the signals did not pass the encryption security test.
The BCM stops processing all transmitter signals for 20 seconds. All of the remote control door lock transmitter functions do not operate.
DTC 45 is set when all of the following conditions occur:
• | The BCM is in the diagnostic mode. |
• | Any button on the remote control door lock transmitter is pressed. |
DTC 45 is automatically cleared after it is displayed. Any button on the remote control door lock transmitter must be pressed again to display DTC 45.
If DTC 45 is set, the remote control door lock transmitter is out of synchronization with the BCM. This can be caused by any of the following conditions:
Step | Action | Value(s) | Yes | No |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Did you perform the Remote Keyless Entry Diagnostic System Check? | -- | ||
2 | Attempt to operate all of the remote functions using the keyless entry transmitter. Do all of the transmitter functions operate properly? | -- | ||

Important: Perform the set up procedure for the body control module (BCM). Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System. Did you complete the replacement? | -- | System OK | -- |
