Condition
Some customers may comment that the fuel tank filler cap, when suspended by the cap tether, contacts the vehicle's rear quarter panel.
Cause
The tether is not long enough to suspend the cap as shown in the Owner's Manual.
Correction
Fuel Cap Tether Mounting Hole
Replace the existing fuel tank filler cap and tether assembly with a revised assembly, P/N 22616286. Secure the new cap and tether assembly by inserting the push pin in the end of the tether into the existing hole in the fuel filler door hinge, as shown in the figure.
