If during a repair procedure, a weld stud becomes damaged,
the following procedure may be used to replace the weld stud:
Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
- Drill a hole into the same location as the damaged weld stud.
- Drive a screw into the drilled hole.
- Use screws to retain clips and moldings in the same manner used
with weld studs.
Important: Apply the proper anti-corrosion materials as necessary.
- If the body surface becomes marred, repair and/or refinish to provide
a smooth surface. Refer to
