J 25070 Heat Gun

1. Mark the position of the molding with a length of masking tape.
2. Heat the molding using the J 25070 . Apply heat using a circular motion for about 30 seconds.

Notice: Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to prevent paint damage when removing an emblem/name plate.

3. Remove the molding from the quarter panel using a plastic flat-bladed tool.
4. Wash the area with soapy water and wipe dry.
5. Remove all traces of adhesive from the fender using a oil-free naptha or alcohol.

Important: Do not touch the adhesive backing on the molding.

1. Remove the backing from the molding.
2. Measure 7.5 mm (0.29 in) from the rear edge of the door to the front edge of the rear molding (3).
3. Align the molding to the tape guideline and press firmly in place.
