Front Fog Lamp Replacement Camaro
Removal Procedure
Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly
could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal
injury:
• | Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing
the bulb. |
• | Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete. |
• | Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb. |
• | Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass. |
• | Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb. |
• | Properly dispose of the used bulb. |
• | Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children. |
- Remove the headlamp. Refer to
Headlamp Replacement
.
- Loosen the front fascia reinforcement nut, if necessary.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp.
- Remove the fog lamp to
headlamp bracket bolt (1).
- Remove the fog lamp bracket bolt (2).
- Remove the fog lamp from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the fog lamp
to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fog lamp bracket bolt (2) to the fog lamp.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt (2) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the fog lamp to headlamp bolt (1).
Tighten
Tighten the fog lamp to headlamp bolt (1) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the electrical
connector to the fog lamp.
- Tighten the front fascia reinforcement nut, if necessary.
Tighten
Tighten the front fascia reinforcement nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the headlamp. Refer to
Headlamp Replacement

Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the push pin retainers that are located at the bottom center
of the front fascia.
- Disconnect the electrical
connector from the fog lamp.
- Remove the fog lamp bolts.
- Remove the fog lamp and bracket from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the fog lamp
and bracket to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant

- Install the fog lamp bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the fog lamp bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical
connector to the fog lamp.
- Install the push pin retainers at the bottom center of the front
fascia.
- Lower the vehicle.

- Open the access door in the front bumper air deflector.
- Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connector from the socket.
- Remove the fog lamp nuts.
- Remove the fog lamp (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the fog lamp
(1) to the vehicle.

Tighten
Tighten the fog lamp nuts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
- Connect the fog lamp electrical connector to the socket.
- Close the access door in the front bumper air deflector.
- Lower the vehicle.
