Rear Compartment Lift Window Strut Replacement 4 Door

Do not intermix original quality gas struts with other quality struts, since not all struts have the same output level.

Caution: When a lift window hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

1. Open the endgate window.
2. Support the endgate window.



3. Remove the retainer from the hinge pin at the upper end of the endgate window strut.

Discard the retainer.

4. Remove the hinge pin from the upper end of the endgate window strut.

Discard the hinge pin.

5. Release the retaining clip in order to remove the lower end of the endgate window strut from the ball stud on the body.

1. Push on the end of the strut in order to install the lower end of the endgate window strut to the stud to the ball stud on the body.
2. Install the new hinge pin to the upper end of the endgate window strut.
3. Install the new retainer to the hinge pin.
