Was the RAP System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check

  1. Connect the scan tool.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Do not start the engine.

  4. Select Body Control Module (BCM) on the scan tool.
  5. Use the scan tool in order to read the current DTC(s).

Does the scan tool display any current DTC(s)?

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the radio ON.
  2. Operate the power windows
  3. Operate the sunroof, if equipped.

Do the power windows and the sunroof operate?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Applicable Diagnostics for each inoperative system (in Entertainment, Doors, or Roof)

  1. Close the doors.
  2. Wait 20 seconds for all the courtesy lamps to shut off.

Do the courtesy lamps shut off?

--

Go to Step 5

Refer to Interior Lights Dimming System Check

  1. Remove the RAP relay from the Body Relay Block.
  2. Use the appropriate probe from the J 35616-A for the next step.
  3. Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage at cavity 87 of the Body Relay Block.

Does the J 39200 DMM display battery voltage?

Go to Step 6

Replace the RAP relay.
