Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to LO.
  3. Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E8 to ground, using a DMM.

Is the measurement greater than 1.0 volt?

1.0 volt

Go to Step 6

Check for a poor connection at connector C211, or for an open circuit condition in the pigtail to the wiper/washer switch assembly.

Is a poor connection condition or an open circuit condition present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the wiper/washer switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

Is the replacement complete?

Repair the poor connection condition or the open circuit conditon.

Is the repair complete?

Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E5 to ground, using a DMM.

Is the measurement greater than 1.0 volt?

1.0 volt

Go to Step 7

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal A to ground, using a DMM.

Is the measurement greater than 1.0 volt?

1.0 volt

Go to Step 9

Repair the open circuit condition in circuit 113.

Is the repair complete?

Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E to ground, using a DMM.

Is the measurement greater than 1.0 volt?

1.0 volt

Repair the open circuit condition in circuit 112.
