Console Mounted Cassette Deck Information

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Parts information to add a console mounted cassette deck on a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche

The console mounted cassette deck is not available as a factory installed option on the 2002 Avalanche as it is on the Suburban. However, it is available through Service Parts Operations and can be installed in the same manner. You will also need to order the harness to connect the tape deck to the radio. The part numbers are as follows:

Cassette Deck: 15068081

Harness (with OnStar) 15076212

Harness (without OnStar) 15746211

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
