Antenna Cable Replacement Pontiac

1. Open the passenger doors.
2. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Adjust the carpet for access to the wiring harness as required.



4. Disconnect the antenna extension lead (2) from the main body harness coaxial cable (1).
5. Open the rear trunk lid and pull back the rear compartment carpet to expose the antenna base.



6. Disconnect the antenna lead (2) from the antenna base (3).
7. Cut off the visible end of the coaxial antenna cable from the wiring harness in the rear compartment area.
8. Cut off the visible end of the coaxial antenna cable from the wiring harness in the front kick plate area.

1. Install the coaxial antenna cables into the vehicle.
2. Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna extension cable to the top of the wiring harness.

Secure the cable to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in).




3. Connect the antenna extension lead (2) to the coaxial antenna cable (1).



4. Connect the antenna lead (2) to the antenna base (3).
5. Reposition the carpet in the rear compartment area and close the rear trunk lid.
6. Reposition the carpet to cover the main body wiring harness and the coaxial cable.
7. Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
8. Close the passenger doors.

Antenna Cable Replacement Oldsmobile

1. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
2. Adjust the carpet for access to the wiring harness as required.



3. Disconnect the antenna extension lead (2) from the main body harness coaxial cable (1).



4. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
5. Disconnect the coaxial cable from the radio antenna and from the rear window defog control module.
6. Cut off the visible end of the coaxial antenna cable from the wiring harness in the rear quarter upper area.
7. Cut off the visible end of the coaxial antenna cable from the wiring harness in the front kick plate area.

1. Install the coaxial antenna cables into the vehicle.
2. Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna extension cable to the top of the wiring harness. Secure the cable to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in).



3. Connect the antenna extension lead (2) to the coaxial antenna cable (1).



4. Connect the coaxial cable to the radio antenna and to the rear window defog control module.
5. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
6. Reposition the carpet to cover the main body wiring harness and the coaxial cable.
7. Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
