Cruise Control Switch Replacement Pontiac

Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 737453 Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws from the steering wheel control switch.

    4. Object Number: 737450 Size: SH
  4. Remove the steering wheel control switch from the steering wheel.

    5. Object Number: 737451 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the steering wheel control switch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 737451 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the steering wheel control switch.

    2. Object Number: 737450 Size: SH
  2. Position the steering wheel control switch to the steering wheel.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 737453 Size: SH
  3. Install the screws to the steering wheel control switch.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the steering wheel control switch screws to 2 N·m (19 lb in).

  4. Inspect the operation of the steering wheel control switch.
  5. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement.
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.

Cruise Control Switch Replacement Oldsmobile

Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 737443 Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws from the steering wheel control switch.

    4. Object Number: 737417 Size: SH
  4. Remove the steering wheel control switch from the steering wheel.

    5. Object Number: 737424 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the steering wheel control switch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 737424 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the steering wheel control switch.

    2. Object Number: 737417 Size: SH
  2. Position the steering wheel control switch to the steering wheel.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 737443 Size: SH
  3. Install the screws to the steering wheel control switch.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the steering wheel control switch screws to 2 N·m (19 lb in).

  4. Inspect the operation of the steering wheel control switch.
  5. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement.
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
