Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
  2. Remove the rear energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1212610 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts (2) attaching the extension (1) to the rear impact bar.
  4. Remove the extension (1) from the impact bar.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1212610 Size: SH
  1. Position the extension (1) to the impact bar.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts (2) that attach the extension (1) to the impact bar and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  3. Install the rear energy absorber. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement.
  4. Install the bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
