The circuitry is internal to the navigation radio.
The navigation radio runs the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) when a map DVD is inserted into the radio or when the radio detects a transition from OFF-ASLEEP to ACC, ON or RAP.
DTC B2463 does not set if DTC B1328 or B1327 is current.
• | The navigation radio functions are activated with no navigation DVD in the navigation radio DVD slot. |
• | DTC B2463 does not set if DTC B1328 or B1327 is current. |
• | No map appears on the navigation radio when the MAP button located beside the display is pressed. |
• | The PLEASE INSERT MAP DVD message appears on the navigation radio screen. |
• | The navigation buttons do not function. |
• | This failure has no effect outside the system navigation functions. |
A current DTC clears when the navigation radio detects a navigation DVD.
Important: If DTC B2465 is also set, service B2465 before servicing B2463.
Make sure the DVD installed is a navigation system map DVD defined for this system. Also be sure the label is on the top side of the installed DVD.
