When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
2004 DeVille and Seville with an intermittent DTC P0135 (bank 1 one sensor 1 heater performance code) or a DTC P0155 (Bank 2 sensor 1 heater performance code) set after an Oxygen Sensor replacement. If the 2000 - 2003 Oxygen Sensor Part Number 12559850 is installed in the 2004 Cadillac Deville or Seville, an intermittent Oxygen Sensor heater performance DTC P0135, P0155 will be set .
Verify that the correct P/N oxygen sensor is installed. During your diagnosis, the Tech 2 will indicate the O2 sensor in amps, A correct O2 sensor shows varying amperage of 0 to about 1 amp. A vehicle with the incorrect O2 sensor is fixed at 0 amps. The correct Oxygen Sensor Part Number for a 2004 Cadillac Deville, Seville with the 4.6L (LD8, L37) engine is P/N 12569429.
NOTE: IF THE WRONG OXYGEN SENSORS ARE ON THE VEHICLE, A PCM REPLACEMENT WILL NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
