EGR VALVE/PROM REPLACEMENT INCOMPATIBILITY INFORMATION

A PRODUCTION CHANGE WAS MADE AFFECTING THE PROM AND EGR VALVE CALIBRATIONS ON 1984 FEDERAL ELDORADOS AND SEVILLES (EXCLUDING "E" CONVERTIBLE) AT THE FOLLOWING BREAKPOINTS: ELDORADO - 622748 SEVILLE - 811864 SINCE THE PROM IS MATCHED TO THE EGR VALVE CALIBRATION AND THE FIRST GENERATION PROM'S ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE, A PROM REPLACEMENT WILL NECESSITATE REPLACEMENT OF THE EGR VALVE ON PREBREAKPOINT CARS. WHEN REPLACING AN EGR VALVE OR PROM ON ANY 1984 ELDORADO OR SEVILLE, REFER TO THE APPROPRIATE CHART ON THE REVERSE SIDE FOR THE ALLOWABLE EGR VALVE-PROM COMBINATIONS.
