The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some 2005 - 2007 Cadillac SRX may experience corrosion on the chrome strip insert of the SRX Accessories Front/ Rear Brush Guard. This condition may occur on either front or rear brush guard.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Revised stainless steel satin chrome inserts are now released for service under P/N 19172902 (Front) and P/N 19172903 (Rear). Further, all SRX Accessories Front + Rear Fascia Extension Packages shipping from Source and ADIs include this revised insert (vs. mild steel satin chrome inserts as originally released).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
