Inspect for a missing or poorly seated body plug located on the driver or passenger side A-pillar (1). This may allow for water intrusion and corrosion to develop in C500 or C600 Body Harness to Left Front Door Harness. The body plug can be inspected from outside of the vehicle with driver or passenger front door fully opened. A replacement body plug can be obtained through SPO using part number 25745133. Repair or clean the connection/ terminals as necessary. The female side of the connector is removed from the inside of the vehicle after removing the rocker trim panel and reaching through the opening in the sheet metal behind the parking brake. The male side of the connector is removed from the outside of the vehicle after unseating the pass-through bellows.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
