The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment their Power Liftgate will not power lift or power close during extremely cold weather.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The Liftgate Module (LGM) will not allow Liftgate function when ambient temperatures are below -29C (-20 F). The liftgate can still be opened and closed manually. Do not attempt repairs if it is determined the customer is attempting to use the Liftgate under these conditions.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
