The adjustable pedals forward and rearward switches are inputs to the memory seat module. Battery voltage is supplied to the adjustable pedals switch from the under hood BEC. When the switch is operated to the forward or rearward direction the forward or rearward switch signal circuit is closed to the battery voltage circuit. Battery voltage on a switch signal circuit indicates to the memory seat module that the switch is active.
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTCs:
• | DTC B3604 Adjustable Foot Pedal Forward Switch Circuit |
• | DTC B3605 Adjustable Foot Pedal Rearward Switch Circuit |
The system voltage must be between 9.0-16.0 volts.
• | The memory seat module sets a DTC B3604 when the adjustable pedals forward switch signal circuit is active for more than 30 seconds. |
• | The memory seat module sets a DTC B3605 when the adjustable pedals rearward switch signal circuit is active for more than 30 seconds. |
Memory set or recall operations of the adjustable pedal system will be disabled.
• | The DTC will be current for as long as the fault is present. |
• | When the fault is no longer present the DTC will be a history status code. |
• | The history DTC will be cleared after 50 error free ignition cycles, or by using the scan tool clearing DTCs feature. |
