Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 1226311  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws (2) that retain the compartment bin assembly to the door trim.
  4. Release the tab (1) that retains the compartment bin to the door trim.
  5. Remove the compartment bin from the door trim.

  6. Object Number: 1226304  Size: SH
  7. Squeeze the tabs (1) on the compartment bin latch together in order to remove the latch.
  8. Remove the latch.

  9. Object Number: 1226307  Size: SH
  10. Remove the hinge (1) from the compartment bin.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1226307  Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge (1) to the door compartment bin.
  2. Ensure that the spring is located in the proper position.

  3. Object Number: 1226304  Size: SH
  4. Install the latch by pushing the latch in until the tabs (1) lock into position.

  5. Object Number: 1226311  Size: SH
  6. Install the compartment bin to the door trim panel. Ensure the lower tab (3) of the bin is properly located.
  7. Engage the locking tab (1) at the top of the compartment bin to the door trim panel.

  8. Object Number: 1226311  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the door trim panel screws (2).
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  11. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
