The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may state they have one of the following concerns:

  1. Difficulties with loading, ejecting and playing CD/DVD on 6 disc DVD Changer.
  2. XM Categories Buttons not highlighted or changing.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If you experience one of the following concerns, please do not replace the radio. To correct this concern, reprogram the Navigation radio with updated calibrations. This new service calibration was released with TIS satellite data update version 5.0 available May 1, 2006. As always, make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
