The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A customer may comment the Memory Seats or Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column are inoperative. One or more of the following DTC may be set:

Driver Seat Recline Position Sensor Circuit Short to Ground or Open

Recommendation/Instructions:

Inspect the Body Wire Harness (1) for cuts and chafes from being pressed against the Instrument Panel Carrier (2) when the driver side Instrument Panel Insulator Panel is installed. The area is located near C203 I/P Harness to the Steering Column Harness (3) and over the Brake Pedal Assembly (4).

Note: The harness will relax and fall away from the Instrument Panel Carrier when the Instrument Panel Insulator Panel is removed.
