The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The vehicle battery discharges or becomes dead while the vehicle is parked.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The potential exists in vehicles Built prior to February 15, 2006 for the Sensing Diagnostic Module (SDM) to cause an additional parasitic load of 180ma +/- 20ma on the battery. Reprogram the SDM using the most current calibration available.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
