The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some 2006 Cadillac DTS customers may report that the OnStar LED is dim or dark, especially in bright sunlight. Furthermore; all the OnStar Key pad and steering wheel control function operate normally.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This is a normal design characteristic of the new mirror assembly. No repairs are needed.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
