Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1999087 Size: SH
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Move the RF seat to the rearmost position.
  3. Carefully lift the floor carpet at the seam.
  4. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
  5. Remove the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer nuts (1).

  6. Remove the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer bolt (1).

    7. Object Number: 1999090 Size: SH
  7. Remove the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1999090 Size: SH
  1. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer (1).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1999089 Size: SH
  2. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1999087 Size: SH
  3. Install the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer nuts (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  4. Connect the yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
  5. Position the carpet to the floor.
  6. Install a scan tool.
  7. Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, reset the yaw rate sensor.
  8. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle.
