The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer may comment they would like the memory features to recall automatically when using the passive keyless entry (a.k.a keyless access system) option to enter the vehicle. An enhancement was made to the Memory Seat Module (MSM) software starting with vehicles built on January 28, 2008 that allows the customer to personalize whether the seat is recalled when entering the vehicle passively. The software was changed to trigger recall off the door handle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Reprogram the MSM with the most current software. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
