Easy Exit Function Position Will Not Save - keywords program recall set

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer may comment the Easy Exit seat will not save or store the position they desire. A single beep will be heard instead of the double beep mentioned in the Owner Manual pg. 1-7. The Owner Manual is incorrect; the exit position cannot be stored on this vehicle for either driver. The easy-exit seat position is fixed and not programmable. The final ending position depends upon where the seat driving position was stored. An additional press of the easy-exit button will command the seat to the full rear position if not already there. If the seat memory has been stored in a more rearward position, the exit position will be full rear position.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
