with Memory Package with Active Head Restraints (RPO A45) and

Condition

Some customers may comment on a loss of front seat lumbar memory. Technicians may also find DTCs B1850, B1860 and B2105 set.

Cause

This condition may be caused by memory wiring pinned incorrectly, causing the lumbar memory function to become inoperative. However, the lumbar function will work as intended.

Correction

Technicians are to inspect and place the correct wire in the correct cavity location for the lumbar motor connector as described in the procedure below.

Important: DO NOT replace the memory seat module or any other seat components.

  1. Remove the back panel from the driver front seat. Refer to Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel in SI.

  2. Object Number: 2087621 Size: SH
  3. Identify the proper wire configuration of the lumbar motor connector with the connector removed.
  4. If the configuration is not correct, remove the terminal lock and change to correct the wire configuration (the table below shows the correct wire configuration when viewing the connector with the wires entering the rear of the connector and the locking feature facing up).
