Engine Runs Rough Or MIL P0326 P0327 P0328 P0336 P167D - keywords crank knock SES sensor

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment the engine runs rough and or the Check Engine Light is on. Further investigation will reveal one or more of the following DTC are stored. The cause may be the engine wire harness chaffing on the engine front cover.

P0326 Knock Sensor (KS) System Performance Bank 1

P0327 Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1

P0328 Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit High Voltage Bank 1

P0336 Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Performance

P167D Control Module Ignition Coil Internal Circuit

Inspect the wiring harness crank sensor breakout for chaffing on the engine front cover (1) above the generator. Repair the wiring as necessary.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
