Rumble Type Noise on Acceleration (Adjust Transmission Support)

Condition

Some customers may comment on a rumble type noise heard on acceleration.

Cause
Object Number: 2037963 Size: SH

This noise may be due to a ground out condition between the transmission support and the mount.

Correction

Adjust the transmission support to eliminate the ground out condition using the procedure below.

  1. Loosen the four transmission support to body bolts.

    2. Object Number: 2037910 Size: SH
  2. Shift the transmission support as far rearward as possible.
  3. Re-torque the bolts

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 110N·m(81 lb ft).
