The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A technician may find one or more of the following history DTC stored in the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) while scanning the vehicle. These DTC may have stored as the result of a software concern that is not detectable by the customer.
B3849 (DD handle switch)
B1474 (PD handle switch)
B2961 (Key in switch)
B3618 (Exterior trunk release switch)
B3601 (Ignition Key Capture Solenoid)
Recommendation/Instructions:
Clear the DTC. If they do not return, program the RCDLR with the latest software.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
