The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer may notice evidence of an engine coolant leak or low coolant level in the radiator surge tank.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect for leaking coolant at the radiator surge tank weld joint between black upper and clear lower halves of the bottle (1). Replace the surge tank as necessary.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
