The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
DTC B1009 EEPROM Checksum Mismatch is found stored in the Memory Seat Module (MSM) while scanning for DTC.
Recommendation/Instructions:
No repairs should be attempted to correct for this DTC if stored in the MSM. A software concern exists that may cause the DTC to set when the vehicle goes to sleep or when the vehicle's battery power supply is interrupted.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
