Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the front compartment sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement

Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor Assembly

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Loosen the bolts and slide the sensor out of the keyhole slots.
2. For the front end sensor, follow mandatory fastening sequence to eliminate the clockwise rotation of the electronic front sensors.

Tip
The bolts are integral to the sensor assembly and DO NOT remove separately.
