Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
1	Transfer Case Fluid Temperature Sensor Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section. Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector from the transfer case fluid temperature sensor. Place a drain pan under the transfer case fluid temperature sensor. After sensor replacement, refill the transfer case with fluid. Refer to Transfer Case Fluid Replacement. Tighten 22 N·m (16 lb ft)

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

Transfer Case Fluid Temperature Sensor

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the transfer case fluid temperature sensor.
Place a drain pan under the transfer case fluid temperature sensor.
After sensor replacement, refill the transfer case with fluid. Refer to Transfer Case Fluid Replacement.

Tighten
22 N·m (16 lb ft)
