Disable the SIR system. Refer to Pedestrian Impact Detection System Disabling and Enabling .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
22 N·m (16 lb ft)

Procedure

1. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
2. If deployed, replace the following parts:

•	Left and right actuator

•	Left and right hinge - hood side

•	Left and right hinge - body side

•

Hood

•	Inspection hood latch and subsequent replacement if functionality or appearance is compromised
